MusMA concerts in festivals all over Europe
Festivals from all over Europe have joined forces in the project MusMA - Music Masters on Air: European Broadcasting Festival. With support of EFA and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), 8 - and soon 11 - major European festivals provide a platform for new music created for young composers: Flanders Festival Brussels; Emilia Romagna Festival; International Festival Wratislavia Cantans; Estoril Festival; BEMUS - Belgrade Music Festival / Jugokoncert; Festival Ljubljana; Festival internacional de Santander and International Ankara Music Festival. The EFACTS spotlights only a few upcoming stops of the project. During "Out of the Box", the project was presented and EFA members invited to participate.
BEMUS Festival hosts MusMA Round Table for Young Composers on 23 October
At the occasion of Liszt's bicentenary, the topic of commissioned pieces this year is “Liszt & Landscape”. Pianist Lidija Bizjak will give a recital on 23 October premiering in Belgrade new pieces of five MusMA composers. A creative round table will present composers, and discuss performing aspects and co-operation between composers and their performers, as well as interpretation and presentation of new works. Ljubljana Festival to host MusMA in 2012
In June 2012, Ljubljana Festival will host MusMA. In the workshops new works for percussion ensemble by 10 European festivals will be presented.The working title of the song for the competition is "Between East and West". All terms of the competition are published on the website of the Ljubljana Festival.
MusMA shares first results in film clip
After one year of cooperation, the initiative shares its ambitions and first results in a newly released video clip."We have to do more for young composers," stresses Jan Briers, representative of the Flanders Festival, initiator of MusMA.
